Nectar’s September 2026 memory documentation describes two separate switches: Enable Memory (reference stored memories) and Automatic Creation (extract them from conversations). Users can also enter a custom memory, up to 200 characters, and star up to ten high-importance entries. Critically, the help says access requirements and charges may differ for the switches and are separate from the selected chat model. This is a concrete distinction from services that simply promise to “remember you.”

In the companion’s Chat Settings, open Memory and inspect the charge beside both switches. Add a single concise custom memory such as a fictional shift schedule; mark it high importance if appropriate. Ask the companion to plan an activity around it, then edit the memory and repeat. The documentation says a new conversation does not transfer memory from a previous chat; Archive preserves it while Reset permanently deletes that conversation’s memory.

Subscription, credits and true cost

The important Nectar calculation is not only subscription price. Note the cost to enable stored memory, the cost of automatic memory creation, your chosen model’s chat cost and any image/voice/video use. If you test a higher context tier, verify whether the 8K/16K/64K published tier allocations still apply at the time of checkout.
